Three Common Law Alumni are recipients of the Ottawa Business Journal Top 40 Under 40 awards for 2020

Faculty of Law, Common Law Section, alumni Anna Keller, LLB ’09, Chase Irwin, LLB ’10 and Jamison Young, LLB ’07, have been named recipients of the Ottawa Business Journal Forty Under 40 awards for 2020. A joint initiative of the Ottawa Board of Trade and the Ottawa Business Journal, the annual Forty Under 40 awards recognize rising business leaders under the age of 40 in the National Capital Region.

Anna Keller, LLB ’09, is Senior Legal Counsel at the Canadian Commercial Corporation where she helps businesses through their international expansions. Keller has worked at Shopify as a corporate lawyer, is on the University of Ottawa Board of Governors and has taught at Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business.

Chase Irwin, LLB ’10, is a partner at Dentons Canada. He is a lawyer in the Corporate and Securities group and a member of the firm’s Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies team. His legal expertise is focused on corporate law and transactional matters and he has successfully advised many start-ups in the technological field.

Jamison Young, LLB ’07, is a partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP where he participates in the transactions of large private and public sector real estate transactions. Founding chairperson of the Urban Land Institute chapter in Ottawa, he also teaches the legal dimensions of the real estate development course at Carleton University.
