In a ceremony held in New York City in June 2019, Colin Levere was presented with the M&A Advisor's 2019 Corporate Development Professional of the Year Award for leading Scotiabank’s $2.85 billion acquisition of MD Financial Management.
A few months later, in a ceremony in New York City in October 2019, both Joanna Bliss and Colin Levere were presented with the Americas M&A Atlas Award for 2019 Corporate M&A Deal Team of the Year for Scotiabank’s various M&A transactions. They also received the Americas M&A Atlas Award for 2019 Canadian Large M&A Deal of the Year for Scotiabank’s acquisition of MD Financial Management for which Colin Levere was the M&A lead and Joanna Bliss was the legal lead.
The recipient of the M&A Advisor's 2019 Corporate Development Professional of the Year Award is selected by the Advisory Committee of the M&A Advisor, which is the leading global network of M&A, turnaround and finance professionals. The recipients of the Americas M&A Atlas Award for 2019 Corporate M&A Deal Team of the Year and the Americas M&A Atlas Award for 2019 Canadian Large M&A Deal of the Year are selected by the Global M&A Network.
