New Direction for CIPPIC

As the new Director of CIPPIC, Professor Malone is poised to guide the clinic into its next phase of innovation and impact. CIPPIC’s mission is to advance the public interest on pressing issues at the intersection of technology, law, and society. Under Professor Malone’s leadership, the clinic will continue its essential work, which includes speaking up for the public interest in critical legal and policy debates, providing pro bono legal counsel to clients on technology law matters, and developing public education resources to foster broader understanding of these issues.

Professor Malone’s directorship marks a significant chapter for CIPPIC as it navigates an era of rapid technological change and increasing digital challenges. His interdisciplinary background and practical legal experience will be instrumental in shaping CIPPIC’s advocacy and public engagement, ensuring that the clinic remains a leader in addressing the legal complexities of technology in Canada and beyond.

We are thrilled to have Professor Malone join our vibrant community and we look forward to the many contributions he will make to the Common Law Section, to CIPPIC, and to the broader legal and academic landscape.
