The Option in Health Law is intended for students wishing to obtain in-depth knowledge of law and its intersection with the field of health.

About the option

There is a significant demand for lawyers trained in health law in Canada and worldwide. A complex array of legal issues continues to grow as Canada deals with questions such as medical aid in dying, legalization of cannabis, the aging population and long-term care, financing of health care and services, and new technologies (e.g. reproductive technologies, artificial intelligence, etc.).

Should you have any questions about the Option please contact the Health Law Option Coordinator, Professor Louise Bélanger-Hardy.
