Impressive Showing for Bahati Mujinya in uOttawa 3-Minute Thesis Competition

Summarizing your thesis in less than 180 seconds is not easy. PhD student Bahati Mujinya did it all brilliantly, winning 2nd place in the final of the University of Ottawa’s 3-Minute Thesis Competition, which took place on March 11, 2019 at Desmarais Hall.

Each participant in this competition endeavours to be understood by the audience while conveying the passion behind their research. They must also have good academic and personal communication skills.

For Bahati Mujinya, this was not a problem. He brilliantly summed up his thesis, “Reparations for Victims of Child Soldiers' Acts in International Law”. He was very happy with the results and pleased with his experience.

"This is a great opportunity to share research with other students and a wide audience. We learn a lot, not only through our own research, but especially through learning about the research of others. "

Congratulations to Bahati!
