This scholarship was generously donated by Rakhmadjon Sobirov, J.D. ‘11, and Sobirovs Law Firm to ensure that individuals from Central Asia admitted into the LLM program at uOttawa can study in Canada and then share their knowledge and strengthen democratic structures and the rule of law in their home region.

To support international graduate students and citizens from Central Asia admitted full time to the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section, LLM program.

Eligibility Criteria
Recipients must:
- Be an international student
- Have graduated from a postsecondary institution in Central Asia with a degree in law
- Be admitted as a full-time graduate student in the LLM program at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section, of the University of Ottawa
- Demonstrate academic achievement
