Currently a Ph.D candidate in law at the University of Ottawa, Bahati Mujinya holds a master's degree in law obtained from the same University with the award for best student of the year awarded to him by the Embassy of France in Canada and a law degree from the University of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
His doctoral research focuses on reparation for victims of the acts of child soldiers in international law, and his research area relates to international criminal justice, criminal procedure and criminal law, transitional justice and restorative and / or transformative justice in Africa.
Former president of the graduate students in law at the University of Ottawa, Bahati Mujinya is also a lawyer at the Kinshasa / Gombe Bar and teaching assistant at the University of Kinshasa.
