The 2024 Public Law Conference, to be held at the University of Ottawa, is the latest in a series of major international conferences on Public Law. Register now!

The Public Law Conference series has become the pre-eminent regular forum for the discussion of public law matters in the common law world since the inaugural conference in the University of Cambridge in 2014. On July 2-5, 2024, the University of Ottawa will co-host the fifth instalment of this series for the first time on Canadian soil, marking the Conference’s tenth anniversary.

The 2024 Public Law Conference boasts over 90 speakers and presenters. Some of the most notable include high court judges from Canada, Australia, and South Africa, as well as internationally renowned scholars. Participants will benefit from quality debates and discussions on a range of issues, ranging from fundamental principles to current affairs, fostering intellectual curiosity and enhancing comprehension of the intricacies of public law.

Conference registration includes all conference sessions, a welcome reception at the Supreme Court of Canada on July 2, coffee/tea breaks and a light lunch on both July 3 and 4. July 5 will be a half day, and includes a morning coffee/tea break.
