Orlando Da Silva
It is with pleasure we announce the appointment of Orlando Da Silva, LSM as a Wellness Mentor-in-Residence. Orlando is one of the truly great leaders in our profession. During his time as President of the Ontario Bar Association from 2014-15, Orlando made raising awareness about mental health problems in the legal profession his top priority. He spoke about his own struggles and in so doing encouraged others to come forward and seek help.

Since his term of office concluded, Orlando has continued to speak across the country to raise awareness about  mental health.  He has made a particular effort to speak at law schools across the country.  We have been fortunate to have hosted Orlando several times over the past few years, most recently this semester during Wellness Week.   Orlando was recently appointed Chief Administrator/CEO of the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada and has moved to Ottawa to take up this position.  He has generously agreed to serve as a Wellness Mentor-in-Residence for our students on a pro bono basis.  In this capacity, he will hold office hours each week at the Faculty beginning this November and be available to meet with students as will be coordinated by Jessica Simon.

In this capacity, Orlando will hold office hours each week at the Faculty beginning November 18th and be available to meet with students.

You may schedule a 15-minute session with Orlando through The Source (‘Appointments’ tab – under Wellness Mentoring).
