The entire uOttawa community was excited to see an honorary doctorate awarded to Perry Dellelce at this year's Convocation. It is very special to have one of Common Law’s own alum receive this highest of commendations.

Proud alumni of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, Perry Dellelce has long supported uOttawa’s goals. His legacy of service to the University dates back more than 20 years.

After graduating from the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section in 1990, Perry was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992.

He embodies the spirit of entrepreneurial excellence, philanthropy, and dedication to the community.

It is rare to find a strategic partner whose priorities so perfectly align with ours, but with Perry the University of Ottawa has forged an allegiance driven by our shared vision: nurturing the next generation of changemakers, securing the future of higher education, and creating lasting change in the lives of our students.

Perry is founder and managing partner of Wildeboer Dellelce LLP, one of Canada’s leading corporate finance and transactional law firms. Under his visionary leadership, the firm has flourished into one of the most respected and sought-after legal practices in the country.

However, Perry’s impact extends far beyond the realm of law. He understands the importance of giving back to society and has dedicated himself to numerous philanthropic endeavours. He has supported various charitable organizations and initiatives, focusing on education, healthcare, and community development.

From 2008 to 2017, Perry served on the University’s Board of Governors under the leadership of then president and vice-chancellor Allan Rock, and he is the current chair of the reIMAGINE fundraising campaign.

Perry’s extensive charity work goes far beyond uOttawa: he serves as chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Olympic Foundation; a voting member of the Canadian Olympic Committee; a member of the For Good Campaign Cabinet at the University of Notre Dame; and as a member of the Business Advisory Council of Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
