Common Law Section team brings home award for Best Written Respondent Factum

Professor Natasha Bakht coaches the Walsh Family Law Moot, not to be confused with the Walsh Family Law Negotiation Competition coached by Professor Lynn Rockman. They are held on the same day but are different competitions.

Both competitions are organized by  AFCC Ontario (Association of Family and Conciliation Courts) and were held on Saturday, March 13th.

Six Ontario law schools competed in the Walsh Family Law Moot.

“Our moot team performed wonderfully.” - Professor Natasha Bakht

Iman Nasrallah, 2L, Emily McBain-Ashfield, 2L, Taylor Bain, 3L, and Connor Henderson, 2L, argued like seasoned advocates, Bakht reports. She also wanted to highlight Vlad Floca-Maxim, 3L, who, as the student coach, provided invaluable support to the team.

The highlight of the competition was when the team brought home the BEST RESPONDENT FACTUM (Connor Henderson and Taylor Bain).

Congratulations!
