After receiving her Magister in Law degree from the University of Wrocław in 2004, Dr. Kremens came to the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law where she earned her LLM in 2007. She then earned a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Wrocław in 2008.
An expert on the influence of new technologies on criminal justice systems, Dr. Kremens is currently spending the academic year at the Common Law Section, conducting research on “Gender-Sensitive Criminal Procedure”. For the Fall semester, she was awarded the Shirley Greenberg International Bursary for Visiting Scholars. Her stay is also funded by the Polish National Academy for Academic Exchange (Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej – NAWA).
Dr. Kremens has long been a fixture of the Common Law Section’s January Term, teaching Comparative Criminal Procedure as a visiting January professor. She will once again teach in the January Term in 2023.
