This extraordinary evening was graced by the presence of several esteemed members of our legal community. Attendees included The Right Honourable Richard Wagner, Chief Justice of Canada, Nathalie Des Rosiers, former Dean of our Faculty of Law and current principal of Massey College, Godyne Sibay, a member of the Common Law Honour Society since 2019, and Mark Power, former senior editor and faculty advisor for the OLR.
The gathering served not only as a celebration of the scholarly achievements published in the 55 volumes of the OLR, but also as a platform for engaging discussions and meaningful connections among student editors, alumni, and honorary patrons.
Additionally, the event served as an opportunity to present the Campagnolo Leadership Award to its first recipient, Matthew Tai, Volume 54 Editor-in-Chief (Administration) of the OLR. This prestigious award acknowledged Matthew’s outstanding contribution to the Ottawa Law Review during the 2022-2023 academic year. Congratulations Matthew!
