Amanda De Melo, October 26, 2022

Amanda De Melo began law school in September 2014. She persevered through her JD, despite significant health challenges. She obtained her JD with the class of 2022. In June, 2022, we had the honour of holding a private graduation ceremony for Amanda in Fauteux Hall, along with her fiancé, sister, parents, and a small group of Faculty members and staff. Here, we awarded her diploma and celebrated her great accomplishment, courage and tenacity. Amanda died surround by her loving family at the Toronto General Hospital on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the age of 32. A beautiful tribute to Amanda is available here, where you may also offer your condolences to her family.

Christine Tremblay, November 5, 2022

Christine began her studies in the French Common Law program in September 2020. During her studies, she demonstrated courage, optimism and resilience, and was a determined student with an incredible zest for life. She passed away at the age of 42 after a difficult battle with illness on November 5, 2022 at Hospice Care Ottawa.  All are invited to a celebration of her life on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Hotel Mortagne, 1228 Nobel Street, Boucherville, Quebec.
