Biography
Dr. Bogdan A. Matache is an orthopaedic surgeon and assistant professor at the University of Ottawa specializing in complex knee reconstruction and arthroscopy of the hip and shoulder. He completed his medical degree at McGill University and his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Ottawa. His fellowship training included an upper extremity fellowship at the Roth|McFarlane Hand & Upper Limb Centre followed by a fellowship in sports medicine at New York University Hospital Langone Health. He has also obtained his Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine from CASEM. Prior to returning to Ottawa, he practiced at Université Laval in Quebec City where he was team physician for the Memorial Cup-winning Quebec Remparts. He is team Physician for the PWHL Ottawa and Gatineau Olympiques hockey teams. He holds active committee leadership roles with the Arthroscopy Associations of Canada and North America, is an active reviewer for a number of sports medicine journals, and has been an invited lecturer both nationally and internationally.
