Biography
Dr. Bould completed his anesthesia training in London, UK, and his fellowships in pediatric anesthesia and medical education at Sick Kids and St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, and pediatric cardiac anesthesia in London. During this time, he undertook a Master’s of Education at the University of Toronto with a focus on health care professional education. He is now a staff anesthesiologist at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and an assistant professor at the University of Ottawa. His current research interests include high-fidelity simulation for crisis resource management, including a multi-centre validation study of simulation-based assessment in anesthesia. Dr. Bould is also a visiting lecturer and research lead for the University of Zambia’s new anesthesia residency program and is involved in introducing simulation into this resource-challenged environment.
