Biography
Dr. Élise De Francesco received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 2014 before completing her PharmD at the University of Toronto in 2018. She completed a hospital pharmacy residency at the London Health Sciences Centre in 2019. Afterwards, Élise moved to Ottawa to join the pharmacy team at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) as a clinical pharmacist. Her area of expertise is pediatric critical care. She also has experience in a variety of clinical areas including antimicrobial stewardship, general pediatrics, and emergency medicine.
Dr. De Francesco has a special interest in pharmacy education. She is a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents, and provides pharmacology sessions to fellows, residents, medical students, as well as nurses in the ICU. Élise was previously chair of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists Education Committee.
