Biography
Dr. Felipe Moretti is an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa (uOttawa) and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Staff at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH). Dr. Moretti is the Head of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division and Former Program Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship and Advance OB/GYN Ultrasound Fellowship at uOttawa.Felipe completed his medical degree and OB/GYN Residency training in Brazil (1998). He is a Board Certified in OB/GYN, OB/GYN Ultrasound and Fetal Medicine by Brazilian Federation of OBGYN of Brazil (FEBRASGO).Dr. Moretti moved to Canada to be enrolled in the Fellowship in Advance OB/GYN Ultrasound and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program at uOttawa, which he completed in 2011.That same year, he joined the Perinatology group at TOH – General Campus.
Dr. Moretti has a special clinical and research interest in Placenta Mediated Disease/Placenta Accreta Spectrum and Fetal Neurosonography. He has been leading the Placenta Health Clinic at TOH – General Campus since 2014. In 2013, he created and implemented an innovative modality of Ultrasound in TOH’s OBS/GYN Ultrasound Department in Fetal Neurosonography. He continues to be actively involved in teaching trainees in all levels of Medical Education from UGME through PGME.
