Biography
Dr. Niedbala received a BSc in physics from University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario in 1995. She went on to earn her MSc (1998) and PhD (2004) in medical physics from Carleton University in Ottawa, with her specialty in the area of radiobiology. Dr. Niedbala did her residency in medical physics at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre from 2004-2007) and was hired as a medical physicist at this institution. In addition to providing clinical support, she has been involved in teaching radiobiology to radiation oncology and nuclear medicine residents, as well as Carleton University graduate students, since 2008. Her areas of research interest are in radiobiology, total marrow irradiation, and clinical medical physics.
