Biography
Dr. Matthew McInnes completed his radiology training at the University of Torontoand his PhD in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Amsterdam under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Bossuyt. He is a Professor at the University of Ottawa in the Department of Radiology with cross appointment to the School of Epidemiology and Public Health. He is currently the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Research Director. He works as a radiologist in the divisions of Abdominal and Chest radiology in the Department of Medical Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital and is an Associate Scientist in the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute Clinical Epidemiology program.
Dr. McInnes is on the Editorial Boards for the “Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging”, “Radiology” and the CARJ. He is a member of the Li-RADS steering group, and the head of the Li-RADS Evidence Working Group. His research interests are in the areas of diagnostic test accuracy, systematic reviews and reporting bias. He is the lead author of the PRISMA-DTA Statement.
