Biography
Dr. Alavi graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where she also completed a residency training in obstetrics and gynaecology. She completed a second residency training in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Ottawa. Her practice includes both Obstetrics and Gynecology and she is part of the call group at the General Campus of The Ottawa Hospital. She also provides specialized care at the Ottawa Hospital’s Shirley E. Greenberg Women’s Health Centre, and Family Planning clinic. From an academic standpoint she has completed her Master of Education, Concentration in Health Professions Education at the University of Ottawa and is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education. She is the obstetrics and gynecology undergraduate medical education program director.
