Biography
Dr. William Miller is an associate professor at the University of Ottawa, a practicing neuroradiologist and is the Deputy Chief and Chair of Diagnostic Imaging at The Ottawa Hospital. He is the President of the Canadian Association of Radiologists.
Dr. Miller graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. He completed a rotating internship at McGill University in Montreal then went on to practice as a family physician for 13 years before returning to complete a four-year radiology residency at the University of Missouri. He completed his training with a two-year neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Toronto. He has practiced neuroradiology in Ottawa since 1999.
Dr. Miller’s current areas of interest include: quality, radiation safety, clinical decision support rules and appropriateness of diagnostic imaging, how to manage ballooning healthcare costs, particularly from an imaging point of view, as well as the gamut of diagnostic neuroradiology.
Dr. Miller is a proud father, and an avid photographer, cottager, and golfer.
