Course description
This course will provide a week-long broad spectrum review of radiological sub-specialties for radiologists and residents in preparation for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada licensing exam in Diagnostic Radiology. The course will include lectures (some case-based) and comprehensive reviews in:
- Breast
- Cardiac
- Chest
- Emergency Radiology
- GI, GU
- Interventional Radiology
- MSK
- Neuroradiology
- Nuclear Medicine
- Pediatrics
- Women's Imaging
Overall Course Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify, characterize and provide a differential assessment for radiologic abnormalities identified on imaging in all areas of radiology.
- Provide an appropriate investigation and management strategies for abnormalities detected.
- Recognize emergent and life threatening abnormalities on imaging studies and manage appropriately.
- Discuss pertinent technical issues and modality use in clinical imaging and follow up.
- Discuss and review the Royal College Exam process in depth.

Optional Mock OSCE Exam
Consisting of 8 stations in a standard OSCE format, our mock exam is virtual via Brightspace and in a self-study format.
Optional Hot Seat Sessions
Small groups take cases in a virtual setting in a rapid-fire format to prepare for the types of cases frequently encountered on the OSCE portion of the RCPSC Diagnostic Radiology Exam. Observer status available if you do not wish to take cases. Three 2-hr virtual sessions via Zoom to select from (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday).

Optional Mock Oral Exam
Intended for those scheduled to take the Royal College Exam in 2024, participants will be paired up for an hour one-on-one virtual session via Zoom on Friday February 16 with a Radiologist where you will review a total of *9 cases.Individual feedback will be provided along with a pass or fail score.
