Francophone Affairs facilitate the flourishing of Francophonie within the Faculty of Medicine in order to improve care for Francophone patients in minority settings nationwide.

Vision

Francophone Affairs supports the Faculty of Medicine as a leader:

  • In creating a dynamic and inclusive environment in which linguistic diversity promotes medical and health education and research in all areas, including graduate studies, pharmacy and medicine.
  • In strengthening ties among the Faculty’s Francophone members (students, faculty and staff) through collaboration, engagement, guidance and awareness-raising initiatives and activities, enabling the Faculty to continue to achieve its objectives.

Mission

Through forging strategic partnerships, we aim to integrate the French language harmoniously and visibly in all areas of the Faculty, thereby contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge worldwide.

Our mission emphasizes inclusion, while aiming to create a community of culturally sensitive health care professionals and researchers who are competent and capable of effectively serving diverse populations and of making a significant contribution to the Francophone community as a whole.
