How can I apply?
The earliest you can apply is after your second year of full-time study. We advise you to review the admission requirements as soon as you begin your bachelor’s degree program in order to be ready in time to submit your application. Are you a Francophone from a minority community outside Quebec and Ontario? Consider applying through the Consortium national de formation en santé!
The mandate of the Consortium national de formation en santé (CNFS) is to provide members of Canada’s Francophone minority communities with greater access to postsecondary education programs leading to practise in healthcare professions, including medical studies. These students are admitted over and above the Ministry’s quota set by the Government of Ontario for the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Medicine.
Are you a potential Francophone applicant from outside Ontario and Quebec interested in applying to the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Medicine? You can do so through the CNFS! It’s easy, you just need to:
Ensure you meet the admission requirements
Complete the online application on the Ontario Medical Schools website
Pay the application fees and institutional levy
Send a letter of introduction to the Faculty of Medicine informing them that you are an eligible applicant under the CNFS and that your application has been submitted to the Ontario Medical Schools Application Service
