- Students must present at least one poster and one oral presentation during the course of their program.
- It is a continuous activity all graduate students enrolled in a thesis-based program must attend as it is part of the graduate program requirements.
- Enrolment to the seminar course is mandatory until permission to write is granted.

BCH and MIC Seminar Course Requirements
1. Seminar Attendance
- Biochemistry students must attend 15 (fifteen) seminars during the fall and winter terms of every year of their program to satisfy part of the course requirements.
- Microbiology and Immunology students are required to attend 15 (fifteen) seminars throughout the fall and winter terms of every year of their program to meet the requirement.
- You must track your attendance to seminars using the Student Seminar report form (PDF) and submit it by email to the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Office ([email protected]) before April 30.

2. Seminar & Poster Presentations
As part of the requirements of the Seminar Course, all BCH & MIC students are required to attend the BMI Seminar and Poster Day to present either a poster or a seminar every year until permission to write is granted.
- BMI Seminar and Poster Day will be held at the end of the winter term.
- Prizes for the best presentations are awarded to students.
- Students who obtained permission to write 5 weeks prior to the event will be exempt from presenting.
