The Marketing and Communications Office can assist your office, department, program or school with a variety of design and marketing needs to help promote your events and initiatives with professional, graphic design services.

Branded templates and logos

We provide templates for posters, PowerPoint presentations and other print and electronic materials. Each template features University branding while incorporating our Faculty’s colours and imagery.

To help you produce your print and web materials, MarCom has assembled a comprehensive selection of these items. All templates and logos provided follow the Faculty’s common look and feel standards as set by the University of Ottawa’s Communications Directorate.

Prior to printing or publishing your materials, we can review content, copy and designs to ensure they are consistent with brand standards.

Stock Image Shared Account

Because this is a shared offering, please plan your digital photography needs well in advance. The current annual subscription allows for a limited number of assets to be downloaded across the Faculty per month. Ability to meet desired download dates will depend on that month’s demand, and multiple image requests may be spread out over multiple months.

Step 1: Visit the existing FM-Stock Image Database (a large collection of previously downloaded images)

  1. Open the SharePoint folder, which gives access to the database.
  2. Search for an image(s) using key words, (e.g. students, doctors, science, etc.) or browse through the categorized folders.
  3. Select the preferred image.
  4. Download and save it.
  5. If you are unable to find an image that meets your needs, please visit Adobe Stock.

If you found an image in the SharePoint folder, you can go ahead and use it. If you wish to acquire a new image from Adobe Stock (which will also be added to the database), then you would proceed through the steps below to request the image.

Step 2: Submit a Request

Once you have found an image on Adobe Stock send an email request to [email protected] with the following information:

  1. Use subject line, “Adobe Stock Image Request”.
  2. Include the URL link to the image(s) as well as the Adobe Stock File # in the body of the email.
  3. Please indicate the desired timeline for your request and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Please note that purchased image(s) may also be used by other Faculty departments, offices, programs, and schools and that there is no sole ownership over them. Should you have questions/comments, please contact [email protected].
