2024 SHARE Recipients

Hosted by the Office of Social Accountability, the Social Impact Program, SHARE stream offers Faculty of Medicine learners the chance to enhance the social impact of their research activities. Students were invited to submit proposals focused on building or strengthening partnerships with communities or other stakeholders and mobilizing knowledge to benefit those most affected by the research, providing them an opportunity to gain skills in the research grant process. An adjudication committee of faculty, learners, and community members evaluated the projects. This summer, we awarded nine Faculty of Medicine students who demonstrated a strong commitment to this "bench to society" research approach. Recipients came from diverse programs, including UGME, CMM, PGME, Biochemistry, Epidemiology, and Microbiology and Immunology, reflecting a wide range of disciplines committed to driving social impact through collaborative research. Congratulations to all the recipients and thank you to everyone who applied!


The final projects will be showcased at the end of the SHARE cycle in Fall 2025 and are anticipated to deliver meaningful community impact.
