Data Equity: Systemic and Structural Biases Inherent in Administrative Data - What Are We To Do?

We will apply an equity lens in examining how administrative data are collected and analyzed to illuminate the ways in which population health administrative data research can exacerbate systemic inequities and structural biases. Data equity frameworks developed within the space of algorithmic justice will be discussed including strategies for governance, data sovereignty and justice. Finally, we will conclude by discussing possible strategies for action moving forward.
