Katey Rayner, PhD, of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, has been named chairholder of the University Research Chair in Vascular and Metabolic Inflammation at the University of Ottawa (uOttawa).
In addition to concurrent sources of external funding, the chair will receive $125,000 over five years.
University Research Chairs at uOttawa recognize researchers with outstanding and sustained accomplishments in research, or those who demonstrate initial, significant achievements with exceptional future promise, while maintaining a solid teaching record.
