The 2017 Faculty of Medicine Awards in Education ceremony was held Thursday, December 7, recognizing the outstanding academic achievements of students and faculty members.

Dr. Ruth Slack, interim vice-dean of Research, was Master of Ceremonies and recognized winners for their extraordinary efforts and their contributions as leaders within the Faculty of Medicine.

“Brilliant leaders are driven by a strong mission, a desire to make things right, and the commitment to a greater vision,” said Dr. Slack. “Today we will recognize the important contributions of all the people who go above and beyond the call of duty.”

Award recipients included individuals from UGME, PGME and Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, Translational and Molecular Medicine as well as Continuing Professional Development. More than 100 individuals were honoured as part of the day’s awards. Presenters included vice-deans, department chairs and program directors from across the Faculty, with dozens of awards handed out.

Guests were invited to meet award recipients at a reception following the ceremony in the RGN Atrium.

Congratulations to all winners!
