Last night’s Town Hall at RGN gave staff and members of the Faculty of Medicine an opportunity to discuss what matters to them most with uOttawa’s new President, Jacques Frémont.

After an introduction by Dr. Jacques Bradwejn, Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Frémont addressed the crowd, summarizing his observations to date about the FoM.

“The Faculty of Medicine is a model of excellence for all of us, and an important member of our community,” Mr. Frémont said. “Its importance cannot be overstated.”

The crowd was eager to hear Mr. Frémont’s views on issues facing the University, such as the importance of internationalization, access to library services, and gender equity.

He was especially vocal on the value of teaching at the University, saying, “students are at the heart of our mission.”

Guests introduced themselves and chatted freely with Mr. Frémont over refreshments following the auditorium presentation.
