The Teaching Skills Attainment Award (TSAA) recognizes members of the uOttawa Faculty of Medicine who are committed to their development as teachers. To qualify for the TSAA, you must have attended formal faculty development training specifically designed to enhance teaching skills.

Each year the Office of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offers roughly 30 hours of workshops that are pre-approved for TSAA’s. External programs may qualify, if approved by the TSAA committee. Details on qualifying activities can be found on the TSAA website.

Three certificate levels exist: Level 1 (30 credits), Level 2- Merit Award (80 credits) and Level 3-with Distinction (130 credits). For more information on each, see our FAQ and links to the application.

This year’s application deadline is May 3rd, 2019. The TSAA committee members will review applications and awardees will be announced in the fall.
