Biography

Academic and clinical interests

Dr. McIsaac is a CIHR-funded investigator who leads the Aging Innovation in Perioperative Medicine & Surgery (AIMS) Research Group. Dr. McIsaac’s research spans the perioperative period and combines a focus on patient centered outcomes with evaluation of perioperative health system interventions and performance. Dr. McIsaac also leads the Canadian Prehabilitation Knowledge Network, an interdisciplinary, patient-partnered group that aims to advance prehabilitation science through knowledge synthesis and conduct of multicenter clinical trials.

Dr. McIsaac has supervisory privileges in the Faculty of Graduate Studies and routinely supervises graduate students in Epidemiology and Public Health.
