Dr. Giorgi is interested in the chemical processes occurring on solid catalysts at the molecular/atomic level, focusing on structure-reactivity relationships. The general approach involves the comparison of well-defined model systems with laboratory-prepared real catalysts. The group uses a variety of surface science techniques, physical characterization techniques and catalytic reactivity methods. Current interests have been focused on the structure and performance of solid-oxide fuel cell anode materials.
