Dr. Ravi Bhardwaj’s research is in the realm of nonlinear interaction of ultrafast optical pulses with matter and encompasses both fundamental and applied research. In science, the emphasis is on tracking and imaging ultrafast processes at atomic and molecular level, specifically studying electron correlations and multi-electron dynamics in complex systems, and generation of attosecond optical pulses and their use in molecular imaging. In applied research, the emphasis is on laser processing of dielectric materials for optical wiring, fabrication and integration of nanostructures, micro fluidic devices and 3D photonic devices in bulk and in-fiber.
