The Undergraduate Science Research Opportunity (USRO) Program, is intended for full-time second, third, and fourth-year uOttawa students from the Faculty of Science.
Expectations and requirements
Research projects must be carried out part time over a 75-hour period and start upon acceptance into the program. Acceptance replies will be sent out no later than November 1st.
At the start of the internship, the student and the project supervisor must know their respective responsibilities and agree to them in a collaboration agreement. As well, both must complete a learning objective form and submit it to the USRO email address when admission to the program is granted. At the end of the internship, the student and the project supervisor must also complete a learning outcome report and submit it two weeks following the late March- April symposium.

Application submission
The three documents (unofficial transcript, project description and statement of interest) must be submitted in PDF format by email. Applications can be submitted immediately but no later than October 15, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
