Book Launch: Fiscal Federalism in Canada: Analysis, Evaluation, and Prescription

Fiscal federalism is at the heart of the governance of the Canadian federation. This roundtable features contributors to this brand new interdisciplinary book, which considers all aspects of fiscal federalism in the country, most notably the historical context and constitutional foundations for fiscal federalism; the major transfers, including equalization; the financing of specific policy sectors; fiscal questions around emerging issues; and regional perspectives on fiscal federalism. The participants to the round table are:

Daniel Béland is Director of the McGill Institute for the Study of Canada and James McGill Professor in the Department of Political Science at McGill University. 

Eric Champagne is an Associate Professor of public administration at the School of Political Studies and the Director of the Centre on Governance at the University of Ottawa.

André Lecours is a Professor of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa. 

Jennifer Robson is a Program Director, Practicum Coordinator and Associate Professor at Carleton University 

Trevor Tombe is a Professor of Economics and a research fellow at the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary. 

Jenn Wallner is an Associate Professor of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa.
