Event description

One in five Americans takes one or more commonly prescribed psychiatric medications every day. While these drugs can sometimes provide effective relief, they are prescribed far too often, often without discussing with patients possible alternatives and potential side effects, both physical and mental. Medicating Normal follows five people who have suffered the adverse effects of drugs they thought would help. This is the untold story of the grave consequences that can arise when market-driven medicine meets human beings in distress.
