Tirsit Yetbarek is a socio-political researcher currently serving as the Head of the Somaliland Centre for African Studies (SCAS) at the Redsea Cultural Foundation in Hargeysa, Somaliland. She is also the host of the Academic Dialogue in Hargeysa (ADIH), an academic platform dedicated to fostering intellectual networking and critical discussions among global scholars.  Her research encompasses themes such as socio-cultural and linguistic diversity, livelihoods, and political developments in the Horn of Africa, with a particular focus on Somali Studies. With an academic background in social anthropology, sociolinguistics, peace and security, and communications, Tirsit is also the lead researcher for cross-border community development programs at Jigjiga University.

Dorothy Ekuri Ekuri is a distinguished academic with a Ph.D. in History specializing in International Relations from the University of  Yaounde in Cameroon. She also holds a strong foundation in Sociology and Anthropology, acquired as minors during her studies at the University of Buea, Cameroon. Additionally, Dorothy earned a certificate in Development Studies, focusing on Peace and Humanitarian Action, from the Pan African Institute of Development in Buea, Cameroon. These multidisciplinary qualifications have equipped her with a broad and adaptable intellectual skill set. Currently, she is dedicating her expertise to establishing an African Studies Centre at the University of Buea, aiming to advance scholarship and understanding of African heritage and contemporary issues.
