In December 2020, the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities announced an historic $50 million investment in the form of the Virtual Learning Strategy (VLS), a strategy whose goal is drive growth and advancement in virtual learning in post-secondary institutions. Following the call for Expressions of Interest by eCampus Ontario, six projects submitted by researchers from the Faculty of Social Sciences were awarded funding for a total investment of nearly $650,000. These projects touch on mental health, community mobilization and equity. Not only do these topics align with the Faculty’s Research Priorities, they also showcase the importance and value of our colleagues’ research.
