The Political Science Games is an academic competition that allows students to explore various aspects of the political world while showcasing their academic knowledge and pushing the boundaries of their expertise. It is a networking opportunity and an experiential learning platform for all participating students. Whether it's political journalism with the support of Radio-Canada or government relations with the help of TACT, the University of Ottawa students had the chance to thrive intellectually. The delegation consisted of 30 students, including 2 co-leads, 2 mentors, 20 delegates for academic events, and 8 delegates for a sports event.

During the competition, the University of Ottawa stood out for its contagious energy, team spirit, impressive performances, and significant improvement compared to previous years. I am proud to announce that the University of Ottawa ranked 4th overall out of 9 universities, marking the best ranking for a university outside of Quebec and the best result for the university since 2018. We climbed 5 spots compared to last year’s ranking. We took home 2 first-place finishes, in the academic event on International Cooperation and the Sports event (volleyball). We distinguished ourselves through our determination and hard work.
The Games represent the strength of Canadian Francophonie but also the new generation of professionals ready to make an impact and shape the country to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Our delegation is now prepared to face the workforce, equipped with their knowledge and interpersonal connections to shine in it. However, we aim to push the limits once more and claim a spot on the podium next year. The University of Ottawa will continue to climb the ranks, under the leadership of the new team taking over in March 2025. It is with pride and a full heart that I want to thank you for the trust, encouragement, and support you’ve given to our delegation. Thanks to you, thirty students had the opportunity to thrive and experience an unforgettable and educational weekend that will leave a lasting impact on their lives.
