Jude Mary Cénat
The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) has awarded a grant to Professor Jude Mary Cénat under the Race, Gender and Diversity Initiative for the research project, "Providing Anti-Racist Mental Health Care to Racialized Communities: Implementation and Evaluation".

This grant will allow Professor Cénat and his partners to implement the training and protocol "How to provide anti-racist mental health care" at the Montfort Hospital, the Royal, the University of Ottawa and two community institutions.

This project is based on a participatory, cross-cultural and anti-racist approach and relies on many collaborations between community organizations, hospitals and health centres, and researchers. These collaborations include colleagues from the University of Ottawa, including Professors Cary Kogan, Marie-Hélène Chomienne and Monnica Williams, and several community partners.

Jude Mary Cénat is Director of the Vulnerability, Trauma, Resilience and Culture Research Laboratory (V-TRaC) as well as the Centre for Interdisciplinary Black Health (CIBH) and is a professor at the School of Psychology.
