On October 3rd, 2022, the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Social Sciences, and the School of Social Work celebrated the inauguration of Anishinaabeg artwork, Kinistòtàdimin, which was created by three Anishinaabeg artists from Rapid Lake/Barrier Lake: Grace Ratt, Tina Nottaway, and Shannon Chief. The artwork reflects the artists’ Anishinaabe culture, the decolonization work undertaken by the School of Social Work, as well as the powerful message that they wish to inspire in us
We invite everyone to come and see the art pieces which are now on display at the School of Social Work, on the 12th floor of the Faculty of Social Sciences building.
