Ferry de Kerckhove entered the Canadian Foreign Service in 1973. He served as Canada's High Commissioner to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia and finally, Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt. Ferry was also the personal representative of the Prime Minister for la Francophonie. He has a B.Soc. Sc. Honours in Economics, an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Ottawa and pursued Ph.D. Studies at Laval University in Québec City. He has a B.Soc. Sc.
