Achieving philanthropic goals with lasting impact is much more than a simple financial transaction. It’s a process, often family-based, which involves a great deal of emotion, reflection and planning.

Your planned gift usually stems from your personal or family history with the University of Ottawa, with your classmates or with a staff or faculty member who inspired you. The University has certainly had a positive impact on your values, your career and your personal and professional networks. Maybe this is even where you met the love of your life! Maybe you come from a line of uOttawa alumni. With that in mind, it is important to us that we respond to you in a manner worthy of the motivations that underlie your project.

Our approach is thus focused on your project, your timeline, your philanthropic goals and your personal history. We will accompany you at your pace to guide you through the steps to take and present you with the different options available to you. As we position ourselves as facilitators, on a purely human level, we are there with you and for you during the process.

Whether it is a bequest, a gift of life insurance, securities, or another type of planned gift, achieving your goals doesn’t have to be complicated, and our priority is to provide you with the necessary tools to make your experience positive and respectful of the gesture you are taking.

“I really enjoy working with you on this. You are truly eloquent representatives of the University of Ottawa, very skillful and inviting.  As for me, I’ve received the type of special welcome I felt when I enrolled at uOttawa more than 42 years ago.”  William Curran, alumnus (MEd ’77) and member of the Heritage Circle

Contact us to contribute to the education and career paths of our future leaders by creating a legacy, YOUR legacy, at the University of Ottawa. We care about both our students’ experience and yours. Thank you for your trust.
