The Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa is proud to name the law library the Brian Dickson Law Library and grateful to Mrs. Barbara Dickson, her family, and friends for supporting the construction of the beautiful Brian Dickson Reading Room to honour the late Chief Justice Brian Dickson.
The Brian Dickson Law Library is an integral part of the Faculty of Law (formed by two autonomous sections, Common Law and Civil Law), occupying the 4th and 5th floors of Fauteux Hall since it was built in 1973, and is also one of the main components of the network of University of Ottawa libraries. The Law Library reflects the bijural and bilingual character of the two sections it serves.
