Feb 14, 2024 — 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Throughout February we will be celebrating Black History Month and Valentine's Day! Sign up to take part in this poetic conversation and celebrate the heritage of the Black community.

Description of the event
A special Valentine’s Day offering to you from the uOttawa Library and the Office of the Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity & Inclusive Excellence! Join us for a one-hour poetic conversation with the CBC host of Commotion, and author of Son of Elsewhere, (a #1 national bestseller), and Professor Awad Ibrahim, Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity and Inclusive Excellence and holder of the Air Canada Professorship on Anti-Racism.
The conversation will be moderated by Karine Coen-Sanchez, doctoral candidate in Sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences. There’ll be time for audience questions after what will surely be a scintillating conversation about Blackness, belonging, and “becoming Canadian”.
Don’t miss this memorable event celebrating Black History Month at uOttawa! Note that while this event is in English, we welcome questions and comments in French.
