Thinking of adapting or creating an open textbook, another type of open educational resource, or self-publishing a book or a report in various formats? You can use the Pressbooks digital publishing platform!
Available for free through eCampusOntario, it has a bilingual interface, supports publishing in variety of languages, and makes it possible to embed multimedia content (images, audio, video, equations, and more). It also has some 20 professional-looking templates to choose from.
Pressbooks is accessible with your uOttawa login. If you do not have a Pressbooks account already, faculty, students, and staff can instantly create one by following the steps below.
To log in or create an account using uoAccess credentials:
- Go to eCampusOntario’s Pressbooks login page.
- Select the INSTITUTIONAL LOGIN button to populate the search field.
- Look for “Ottawa”.
- Select “University of Ottawa” to be directed to the University’s login page.
Once signed in, go to “Admin” in the top right corner to create a new project or “My Books” to access the ones you have already created.
