Personal licence (PIL) category B training completed at the University of Birmingham, School of Medicine, United Kingdom, December 2018. UK modules completed PIL A theory and skills. 3 day training course followed by theory and practical exam.

Animal training completed upon start of PhD at Keele University, UK by animal care staff, 2018.
PIL training required in depth knowledge of animal scientific procedures act (ASPA), the law around animal research and ethics.

Throughout my 4 year PhD I handled mice daily including weighing and righting reflex. I regularly performed oral gavage in mice from the age of P5 through to P21 and facial IV injections of P1 pups. Regularly harvest tissues. Cull mostly using CO2 chamber, occasionally decapitation (age dependant) and/ or cervical dislocation.
